Brand Link Building – SEO Video Blog

Welcome to this weeks SEO Blog, today I’m joined by my colleague Joel, We have previous done videos on link building techniques and how to identify good link building opportunities.

This week, using some Google search operators we are going to take a look at how to use your client’s brand name to your advantage.

Search operators if your not familiar, allow you to query Google with different parameters to target specific information in the SERP.

This can be extremely effective for all aspects of SEO, but specifically by using the allintitle: operator for finding sites that mention your client’s brand name.

For example,  using  ‘allintitle: Clients Name +Keyword’ will return all the sites that have your client’s name in the page title along with the products they sell.

This will provide you with a list of websites with your client’s products or services mentioned.

Once you have your list, there are 3 things to check:

1. ) Does the site link to your client?

2.) If your client does have a link, have they used anchor text that will help your rankings?

3.) Is the link’s landing page correct?

If the answer is no to any of the points, then we would recommend that you kindly approach the webmaster to help satisfy your SEO needs.

A little tip would be to write the HTML code yourself and ask the webmaster to link using the code provided, that way they have less work to do and you get the landing page and anchor text that reinforces your SEO.

We hope that this has been of some help, if you have any question please leave them on the supporting blog.
