Creare 3 Peaks Challenge Video
Hi and welcome to this weeks video blog, just a few weeks ago James and I – along with member’s of our team completed the National 3 Peaks challenge to raise money for a local charity.
The Rugby based charity New Directions supports adults with learning difficulties in the surrounding area – helping them to live interesting and fulfilling lifes.
This great cause has recently had their funding cut – so we wanted to support New Directions by raising as much money as we could by completing the three peaks challenge.
Despite training hard, the endurance of climbing the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales really was a challenge, particularly when you have to summit and descend all three mountains within 24 hours.
Even harder when the minibus you’ve hired limited to 62 miles per hour! But amazingly, and thanks to our driver Dave, we completed the challenge in a very close 23 hours, 30 minutes.
Nick and I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank our friends, family and colleagues who have supported our cause and helped raise the incredible £3150 that we presented to New Directions last week.
We also wanted to thank Matt from Corstorphine + Wright, who is a friend and client of Creare, who also joined us for climb and fundraising.
And also a special thank you to the directors of Creare who not only donated generously, but funded our trip and transportation.
Last but not least, we pay tribute to the 8 Creare staff who took part:
Jamie ‘I can’t go on’ Allsop.
James ‘who wears short shorts’ Bavington
Dave ‘you’ll love this playlist’ Pearson
Nick ‘Twin Bags’ Rinylo
Adam ‘Julian from twins’ Moss
Dan ‘Creare Blankie’ Long
Rob ‘Pure Caffeine’ Francis
Rob ‘I’ll pack everything in my back-pack’ Kent
Anthony ‘Crazy Decent’ Cole
Thanks for watching.
