Internet Marketing Service Problems – How traditional marketing methods can help.

Need the truth on why your SEO hasn’t yet got you that search engine page one listing? Get the results you deserve by going back to the proven tools of marketing and find the answers to what action is needed with the powerful SWOT analysis tool.

SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Many of the traditional marketing methods are now outdated with the transition to using an internet marketing service; this method used by so many businesses guarantees to shine a new perspective onto the SEO and alerts me to solutions on what to base my new SEO strategies on. It is also a method that clients will often understand so can be used as a way of explaining what we can do for them and their business.

I always focus my SEO analysis in relation to the page one competitors at all times when doing this after all they are where you want to be.

I use the free Yahoo site explorer tool to discover how many pages and back-links my clients competitors websites have. The Google toolbar gives results on each sites page rank so I can see how the site I am working on compares to the competition. Results from these tips and tricks make it easy to complete a SWOT analysis.

Now I take action with this new found knowledge and rate whether the page rank, back-links, keyword distribution and number of pages when compared with the page one competitors are my clients website SEO Strengths or Weaknesses.

I also consider these other points in relation to each heading and decide if I can add them there or if they belong in another category. This can be a real eye opener:

Weaknesses
• No RSS news feed, which allows additional content to be added easily and regularly?

• Poor keyword choice?
• Not enough back-links?
• Poor understanding of SEO?

Opportunities
• Niche target markets that could bring you page one results quicker?
• Clients and suppliers who could write you online reviews on Google maps listings?
• Clients, suppliers and friends who have a website they can give you a link from?
• Link possibilities sourced from yahoo site explorer that you competitors have a link from.
• Accreditations- Do you have a link from their websites?

Threats
• Competitors Strengths?
• Obstacles faced?
• Are your keywords too competitive?

SWOT analysis is a measure of the success of the SEO so far. After I have been alerted to the truth about my clients SEO, this information benefits the SEO strategy and is used as a path finder to getting the results the website needs.

SWOT is just the start of solving internet marketing service problems. The success of a websites SEO relies on what is done with the results that are found.
