Success Stories – New Year

So it’s a New Year, (okay, I know we are almost a quarter through already) and there have been various activities within the SEO Department already. We have recently invited back team member Chris Jones, who broke his leg 10 weeks ago (what some people will do to get off work) and showed the gruesome X-rays to prove it.

In terms of SEO there have been massive successes with keyword rankings, necessary up sales and various technical projects which have helped streamline and organise everything we do on a daily basis.

So, to kick start it (sorry Chris), we a client that belong to said hop-a-long with a fantastic improvement in rankings;

DBS Bathrooms have also moved to Position 1, for all of their national keyphrases – Wall Cladding, Bathroom Cladding & Bathroom Panelling – Well Done Dr Jones!

Another two clients belonging to consultant Vivian Carter have blown competition out of the water with their latest rankings.

The first being Picture Blast – after seeing a very slight drop earlier this year, Viv has worked her socks off to get ‘Photo Booth Hire’ back to position 1 and proving to herself and her client that we can adapt to anything Google throws at us.

On top of that, Designer Flowers are up to Page 1 for the highly competitive phrase ‘Flowers’. Sitting up there with the likes of Marks and Spencer, Interflora and Tesco, this achievement is amazing – keep it going Viv.

Final recognition goes to Keith whose client Picture Framing has had success with ‘Picture Framing’ reaching position 1, which is the final of the two national keyphrases to reach the top spot.

On to more of the techy side of things. Kieran Headley, just one of the five members of ‘Team Awesome’, has developed what is being claimed to be the ‘rival to SEOmoz’ in the form of a rank checker, helping to make ranking more efficient across the whole department – all we’re wondering is, what will be next?

On a final note, we would like to welcome all of our new starters in 2012 that have joined different sub-sections of the SEO department;

Damon – Stage Team

John – Content Team

Josh & Felicity – Carly’s Team

Raksha – Andy’s Team

Patrick – Ashley’s Team

Anthony – Hannah’s Team

The first three months of 2012 have been a big success for all involved with SEO, and as things get even busier, we will all be working as hard as ever to help to make the SEO department shine. Check back in a few weeks to learn about our next lot of SEO success!
