Red Nose Day at Creare!
Not one to miss an opportunity to dress down, gorge on cakes and don the colour red, the team here at Creare have gone all out in the name of Red Nose Day! We have held an official Red Nose Bake Off in a bid to raise money and show off our baking skills.
The Red Nose Bake Off
Competition was rife with everyone trying to outdo one another in
the name of charity; with cupcakes in the shapes of red noses, large delectable cakes towering high and even a few boxes of homemade sausage rolls scattered temptingly across the table. Unsurprising, we were all dashing to grab cash and get some of these amazing treats.
The phrase ‘get in my belly’ was often on the tip of my tongue.
The main aim of our dress down day and our fantastic bake off was to raise money, but we won’t lie to you – it got pretty competitive. Tensions were high as Judge Rob undertook the hardest task of all and tasted each of our cakes while Fliss was judging on looks alone.
Below are a few photos of our Red Nose Day, if you have any of your own why not share them with us?
A big congratulations to Pip, who was a very worthy winner of Best Looking Cake with her white chocolate creation, and to Carla who won Best Tasting Cake. Also, a special shout out to newbie Clare Bale, who won Best Newcomer in what was a very competitive bake off. Nice work bakers! Thank you to everyone who gave so generously, too – in total we raised a very lovely £142.62.
